Apple Nut Bars

  • 1 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 medium eggs , well beaten
  • 4 Tbsp butter , melted
  • 1 Cup pecans or walnuts , chopped
  • 1/4 Cup raisins , or golden raisins
  • 1/2 Cup Jonathan or Macintosh apples , finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 ℉. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Place batter in a well-greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove from oven and cut into bars while still warm.
