Maple Bars

  • 1 Cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 Cup nuts , chopped
  • 3/4 Cup flour
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 4 Fl Oz vegetable shortening
  • 4 Fl Oz maple syrup
  • 1/2 Cup shredded coconut
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mixing thoroughly. Pour batter in a 9 inch greased baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool before cutting and serving.
