Streuselkuchen (Crumb Coffee Cake)

  • 1 1/2 Cup flour
  • 4 Fl Oz milk
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp shortening
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp shortening
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 7/8 pinch salt
Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Mix first 7 ingredients by hand. Spread in a greased and floured 9 inch cake pan or springform pan. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients, mixing with a fork to create crumbs. Spread on top of batter. Bake for about 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
