Homemade Pie Dough

  • 1 1/4 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 Cup unsalted butter , cold and cut into small pieces
  • 3 Tbsp ice water
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Combine all ingredients and process in a food processor on pulse setting until just blended. Remove dough onto a lightly floured surface and flatten in a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes before rolling out. Note: You can freeze the dough for up to 6 months. Makes a 9 inch pie shell.
