Pat's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1/4 Cup white sugar
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 Cup peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp applesauce
  • 1 egg whites , slightly beaten
  • 1/2 Cup whole grain flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Cup whole wheat cereal , or multi-grain cereal, crushed
  • 4 Tbsp semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 ℉. Add first 6 ingredients to a bowl and stir well. In another bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Add this mixture to the first mixture. Stir in crushed cereal and chocolate chips. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool before serving.
