Walnut and Lettuce Salad

  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic , bruised
  • 1 Lb packaged salad
  • 1/4 Lb red onions, sliced
  • 8 cherry tomatoes , cut in half
  • 4 Fl Oz blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 Cup croutons
  • 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
Pour salt into a salad bowl. Press garlic cloves into salt and rub around inside surface of bowl, mixing garlic and salt. Add lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add dressing and toss lightly. Sprinkle with walnuts and croutons.
