Ginger Coffee

  • 1/2 Cup ground coffee , heaping
  • 2 tsp cardamom , ground
  • 3 Tbsp ginger , minced
  • 1 Quart cold water
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 Tbsp heavy cream , cold
  • 1 Oz fine dark chocolate , grated
Combine coffee, 1.5 normal tsp ground cardamom cardamom and ginger. Brew with cold water using desired method. Combine milk and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until hot. Whip cream with remaining cardamom to soft peaks. Serve coffee with hot milk. Pour into demitasse cups. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
