Pear and Apple Saute in Puff Pastry

  • 4 frozen puff pastry shells
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter
  • 2 Jonathan or Macintosh apples , cored and cut into .25 in. slices
  • 4 Bosc pears , cored and cut into .75 in. slices
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 3/8 pinch salt (optional)
  • 4 Fl Oz lowfat vanilla yogurt
Bake puff pastry shells according to package directions. Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Saut'e apples 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add pears and saut'e another 2 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients, except yogurt. Saut'e another 2-3 minutes or until fruit is tender. Spoon fruit into pastry shells. Top with a dollop of yogurt and serve.
