Soda Fountain Pie

  • 12 sugar ice cream cones , crushed
  • 1/2 Cup unsalted butter , melted
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 1/2 Cup fresh strawberries , hulled
  • 1 Quart vanilla ice cream , softened
  • 1/4 Cup malted milk powder
  • 1 1/2 Cup purchased fudge sauce , softened
Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl. Press into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 10 inch pie plate. Freeze. Pur'ee 3 whole cup strawberries in a blender. Chop remaining strawberries and combine with pur'eed strawberries in a bowl. Stir in ice cream and malted milk powder. Mix thoroughly. Pour into prepared crust and freeze overnight. Spread fudge topping over pie, leaving a 1 inch border around edge. Freeze at least 2 hours. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving and garnish with additional strawberries, if desired.
