Kid's Cooking Sugar Cookie Dough

  • 1 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup unsalted butter , or shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1 egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp water
  • 1 Cup powdered sugar
  • 2 3/4 Fl Oz milk
Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Cream together the sugar and the butter or shortening Add the eggs, mixing well. Add the dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Stir in the vanilla and milk. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about .25 inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Whisk together egg white and water in small bowl. Brush on cookies before baking. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. The cookies are done when the edges start to brown because they will continue to cook slightly on the hot baking sheets when you remove them from the oven. Allow to cool. In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar and milk to make a spreadable glaze. Brush on cookies after they have cooled. Store in an airtight container.
